Titanium Elbow – The Ultimate Solution for High-Temperature and Corrosive Environments
An elbow is a pipe fitting that changes the flow direction of fluids or gases. Titanium elbows are available in different angles, including 45 degrees, 90 degrees, and 180 degrees. The elbow’s angle dictates how much pressure the fluid flow experiences due to the change in direction.
ASME B16.9 is the standard for manufacturing and testing butt-welded fittings. Titanium elbow that meets the ASME B16.9 standard are tested rigorously to ensure they can withstand the pressure and temperature requirements of different applications.
Titanium elbow is available in both seamless and welded construction depending on the end-use requirements. Seamless titanium elbow has a smoother surface and can withstand higher pressures than welded elbow, making it ideal for critical applications. Welded titanium elbow, on the other hand, is commonly used in low-pressure applications where cost is a significant consideration.
